I’m a mom, lifelong learner, creative problem-solver, and believer that life is better with good food and a little silliness. My background includes education and experience in food, hospitality, nonprofit work, and caring for people. At home, life revolves around my kids, cooking, time outside, creative projects, and following whatever has sparked my curiosity lately.

My Philosophy

Childhood Deserves Childhood

There is no rush to grow up here. Children have time to play, wonder, be silly, try things, make mistakes, and experience the ordinary magic of being little.

Connection Comes First

Children deserve to feel safe, heard, and respected. I approach behavior with curiosity and look for what a child may be communicating or needing before deciding how to respond.

Curiosity Leads the Way

Learning doesn't have to look like a lesson. Questions, stories, muddy boots, helping in the kitchen, building something that falls over, and trying again all have a place here.

Everyone Belongs

Each child brings their own personality, family, traditions, abilities, preferences, and way of moving through the world. Hokey Pokey is a place where those differences are welcomed and valued.
